Meet Christina Richter, a familiar and respected figure in Placer County’s historical community. She currently serves on the Placer County Historical Advisory Board and holds the position of Secretary for the Western States Trail Museum board of directors. Additionally, Christina contributes a monthly history article to Gold County Media and is employed part-time by Placer County Museums.

Christina’s dedication to preserving local history extends beyond her professional roles. She authored “Past and Present Placer County,” published by Arcadia Publishing in May 2023, and collaborated with the late David Fiddyment on the biography of the Roseville Fiddyment family, “Walk With Me, I Want To Tell You Something” released in 2013.

Throughout her career, Christina has held leadership positions in historical societies, including three terms as President of the Roseville Historical Society. She was also Vice President of the Sacramento Historical Society, where she received the prestigious “History Enlightenment Award” for her efforts to save the historic Fiddyment pioneer ranch house in West Roseville.

Richter’s extensive involvement in historic preservation, education, and advocacy reflect her deep love for local history and her commitment to sharing it with others. Her passion for the past continues to enrich the cultural heritage of Placer County and inspires appreciation for its historical significance.
